Many of us find that volunteering to help people is the best way to spend our extra time. We are busy people with many things going on in our lives. We realize that in order for the world that we live in to improve, we all need to help each other.
While some of us can dedicate hours to helping others, some may have only a few moments. So what ever amount of time you can give, find it satisfying that you have given of yourself with no expectations of return or reward besides the really good feeling you will get when you give freely of yourself ~ for the betterment of others, the planet, animals or what ever interests you may have~ just do it!
Reading Peace Kitchen is an effort to feed anyone hungry and end violence.
Anyone who wants to cook may cook, and anyone who wants to eat may eat.
WE collect surplus food that would otherwise go to waste from grocery stores, bakeries and markets, then prepares it into community vegetarian meals served for free to anyone hungry.
We are taking nonviolent direct action to create a world free from domination, coercion and violence. We organize based on the principle that food is a right, not a privilege.
2012 Was an amazing year for ALL that participated!
